Silver's last five letters to her mother, Baby Doe, went unanswered. Each had a different address in Chicago. She had been using several different names/aliases, but these last letters all used the same name: Miss Rose Tabor. This, from the Colorado State Historical Society.

Silver died September 18, 1925 under suspicious circumstances. It took three days for relatives to claim her body.
