A Life Discarded, Alexander Masters

A Life Discarded, Alexander Masters

Finally, a biography that is not about a hero/ine, a villain, a famous or infamous person. A Life Discarded is about a person, but noone you'd know or ever heard of. How refreshing. Read it cover to cover and despite the insane review by The Guardian, the NYTimes did get it (link above). This is the work that should be done more often. Can't wait to read Masters first 2 books, likewise about people you've never heard of: a pure voyage of discovery, untainted by myths and PR that typically accompany any other bio ever published. Very inspiring.
